Christmas Decorations to Buy in 2021

[ We have worked so hard this year, so shall we start enjoying the end of the year? ]

It feels like yesterday when I was excited to decorate trees and tables last year, but I can't believe it's already mid-November! Christmas, which I love so much, is just around the corner. Last year we had rustic 'Farmhouse Holiday,' but we'll have vintage-styled Christmas decorations with lots of red. So, Editor L and I went shopping in five different places: Daiso, Flying Tiger Copenhagen, Modern House, Express Bus Terminal Flower Market, and IKEA.🛒 Shall we take a look together?

Daiso

The first place we went to was Daiso, which has almost everything you might need, and there is one store at least in every neighborhood in Korea. All the Christmas decorations were on the tables and shelves at the most visible spot from the store entrance.

Daiso has mainly trees, wreaths, and lights at great prices. They don't have specific themed products but typical types of Christmas decorations or cute ones. I was expecting something special like things they had for the spring season and Halloween, but it was a little disappointing since it was pretty plain. However, I think Daiso is still a great option to visit if you need to decorate for Christmas in a hurry on a small budget.

Flying Tiger Copenhagen

The second place we visited was Flying Tiger Copenhagen. I recommend checking out their online shop since there're not many stores in Korea. But editor L and I love to look around in person, so we visited. It has also been a while since the last time.

We loved that Flying Tiger Copenhagen has many small and cute items and unique and fun Christmas decorations.

There were things you could put or decorate wherever you like, but what caught my eyes was DIY products and small objects especially! If you use miniature trees, table trees, and various DIY items, you can create the Christmas mood, and these are convenient to store. So I think you would love it if you are concerned about keeping them although you want to decorate Christmas trees.

Among the various products, we picked XMAS Square Tree Decoration R, XMAS Gift Calendar, XMAS DIY Pom Pom Decoration, and XMAS Tree Napkin to recommend.

Modern House

The third one was the Modern House. Usually, I go to see dishes or tableware. It is always full of dishes, various pans, kitchen tools for each season, so it is a place I, who love cooking, have never missed. As expected, they have a lot of Christmas tableware and decorations!

What I liked the most was they displayed Christmas collections by themes such as luxurious classic styles, rustic styles, and Nordic styles, so you can choose to suit your taste. We have picked out some decoration items for you. But please check out Modern House, where has much pretty tableware if you are looking for Christmas tableware or tableware!

Express Bus Terminal Flower Market

The fourth-place we visited was 'Express Bus Terminal Flower Market.' It is also called 'Goteo Flower Market' for short. I went to this place last year to prepare for Christmas. As soon as I got there, I went straight to the 3rd floor, where flowers, artificial flowers, and decorative items were.

In Goteo Flower Market, there were a lot of small items to decorate Christmas in your space, from small mini trees to large ones, to a variety of ornaments, string lights, decorations, and more. So if you're new to this place, you may lose track of time because of the colorful Christmas decorations. Editor L, who went with me, said that it was her first time here during the Christmas season, and she was so excited like a child 😁

It would be better to choose your theme before you come here as there are many kinds of decorations and items in this market. PinS' theme of this Christmas is 'Christmas at an old cabin.' So, we had picked vintage and country styles of decorations. Oh! And one more thing! It is a good idea to visit before the end of November if you want to buy Christmas decorations at Goteo Flower Market. If you go too late, appealing and unique decorations may be all gone...!

Ikea

The last one is IKEA, a magical space where your day just goes by once you go in. We went to the Gwangmyeong location. Christmas decorations were everywhere in the showroom area, but there was a large separate Christmas market in the self-serving zone on the basement floor! I ran exciting, but there weren't that many new products compared to last year. 😥

Still, the Christmas items with Ikea's unique Nordic styles are so special that you can't find them anywhere else! I can't say that there were a huge variety of products, but there are things that you see only at IKEA, so there are surprisingly many items we like to recommend.😊

This year, too, there were many unique and stunning lights that you can see only in the IKEA Christmas collection, so we chose some among mainly Christmas lights.
